5 Things Women Should Tell Themselves Every Morning

Read Time: 4 minutes:

Sis you need to hear this, it’s all about loving and looking out for each other. And that’s what we aim to do here at TheBeyondWoman.

I wish I had someone looking out for me years ago and then I would not have discovered all by my lonesome the need to pour into myself.

As women, it is second nature for us to think of ourselves last in our own journey. Thank goodness the tables are turning and we now accept that we are a big part of the equation that keeps everything together.

I recently read in a free verse that if we take “mother” in our case women out of the equation, our society comes to a screeching halt.

Would you say that hits home?

Therefore with that (the above) said TheBeyondWoman came up with 5 things we believe all women should tell herself daily. After reading we invite you to submit a few of your own so we can build the conversation…

1.I am wonderfully made in the image of my Father.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

If we are made in God’s image, shouldn’t it mean that we are perfect as we are? And therefore means there are no mistakes in how we are fashioned. We accept ourselves because we are creatively fashioned by hands that are perfect. Whatever challenge comes our way is for a reason and for a positive one even though we may not see it in the present.

Know that your life is perfect the way it has been designed. Everything you experience is to teach, reinforce, strengthen and or encourage you to reach higher heights. You can do all you put your mind to once it is God’s desire for you.

2.I am well equipped

2 Timothy 3:17 – That the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

Wherever life finds us, it provides for us. Our world is constantly in a mode of more, more and more. But we must understand that once we align ourselves to that kind of thinking and interpretation of life we will always see lack. We will always see inadequacies, we will never be satisfied. We will have what we need and yet not recognize that we do.

You have everything in this moment to accomplish all that you need to and to fulfill all your needs.

3.I am Strong

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

We are never alone because the Lord is with us, and so through every challenge and every win God is rooting for us and cheering us on. So let us assume we are writing for the person who thinks they are weak when going up against forces; understand that all that is required is a decision committing to do the thing you are putting aside.

Once the decision is made you already won half the battle. There is a thinking (and it may be ours :-)) that the win is not in the outcome, the success is not in the outcome, the strength is not in the outcome but it is in the will. Once you have the will, the strength will come.

4.Today I make things happen

Ecclesiastes 11:4, 6 He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap. In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not withhold your hand…

Today, not tomorrow, not next week or next year but today. We often hear – there is no time like the present or that tomorrow never comes, and the truth is, that is the truth. Procrastination is the thief of time and is something that we must fight to take control of, as hard it is.

Too many times I have heard people say “I wish I did something when I had the time”. Do not allow the same thing to happen to you. There is no time like the present, so do what you must today.

5.I deserve the best

1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand its own way. It is not irritable or touchy. It does not hold grudges and will hardly even notice when others do it wrong. It is never glad about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth wins out. If you love someone, you will be loyal to him no matter what the cost. You will always believe in him, always expect the best of him, and always stand your ground in defending him.

This is the standard and so we say:

No settling, no compromising, no hiding and no giving in to others who make us feel less than we are. No one is perfect but there are certain fundamentals, that when we live by them, they make for better interaction.

Love & respect are 2 big ones that we do not think our sisters demand and as a result she cannot get the best if respect is missing and if she is not giving any.

You get what you give – this is a rule of life. If you are receiving less than you deserve as a child of God then Sis it’s time to move on in love.  Accept only what you deserve even if it means you will be alone.

What are your thoughts? Will you join us in pouring these 5 things into your thoughts daily? Write them down, keep them in your periphery and grow!

Finally, let’s keep the conversation flowing, add a comment below with a few of your own. We look forward to hearing from you.
