Today in recognition of International Women’s Day we are so happy for the opportunity to share some insights and favourite quotes of the women we have featured on our past and current cover(s). We hope they will ignite or fan a flame within you as you read and absorb the message each woman gives today – International Women’s Day.
Find a woman and celebrate all the good and even the not so good in each other. Understand that empathy and support does more than disregard and dismissiveness.
It brings to mind the story of Moses but in particular his support team Aaron & Hur. When the Israelites were going up against the Amalekites in battle Moses realised something peculiar. When he raised his hand the Israelites would prevail but when his hand was lowered the Amalekites would. So Moses held up his hand because he wanted the win to go the Israelites. Here is the lesson – when he became tired of holding up his hand Aaron and Hur was ready at his side to help.
So the Question is which woman’s hand are you holding up? Notice the question was not, who is holding up your hand? Sometimes we need to get the blessing from being our sister’s keeper. And that is what we propose for all our women today and throughout the year.
