I was not drawn to this picture because of the vibrant colours or her nose ring. Neither the tattoos but because of the genuineness of her smile and the truth it seemingly contains. It seems to say what you see is what you get.
This is not something that most of us can say we display easily. This world that we live in oftentimes forces us to live in a pretentious way. As I think about this movement called TheBeyondWoman I am pleased to say that we encourage women to be their authentic self and live their truth.
Through storytelling we will demonstrate that we are all going through pretty much similar challenges. Once we live authentically, we will see most of these challenges not having dominion in our lives. Rather we will find the energy through faith and through a sisterhood that supports each other and we will rise above the challenges (taking control and having dominion). We will begin to live genuinely and in truth.
We will radiate a warmth and inclusion through the big smile that will come forth from our lips. Lips that are usually pursed together unknowingly, not sure if we should or shouldn’t smile.
There is nothing like dancing to and moving in alignment to our own unique rhythm and impacting other women who are waiting on permission to be themselves. Waiting to be free from the past that keeps them back. Waiting to live their truth!
This freedom and permission will only come once we say yes to our truth and start living as we should.
