Another Day and some of us are holding on to something or someone that needs to go so we can grow.
Despite knowing what we need to do to move us forward, we usually are not brave enough to do that very thing.
As women, some of us carry on the trend of compromising our values. We shrink despite knowing our worth. We give up because we do not believe in our values and the contribution we are here to make. We comply with the status quo and the empty expectations of a world that serves us little or no value.
Limitless opportunities await us and we must let go of those things that are holding us back…
And, we must get brave.
The opportunities will go as quickly as they come if we continue to be the opposite of brave.
If you watched the 2003 movie Bruce Almighty (yes we are going way back) that show holds a significant eye-opener. In one of the initial conversations with god (played by Morgan Freeman) Bruce was told, “You can’t mess with free will”. As I continued to watch, the significance of this one rule became evident.
In life, we have free will to choose our outcomes. We cannot directly affect another’s free will and neither can they affect ours. And so it becomes VERY CLEAR – we are the ones that can affect our circumstances by choosing wisely.
I raise this question – Is the free will to our detriment?
Arguably we can say yes to some extent based on our fear to make “hard” decisions. It would be great to get someone with our best intentions to do the work and make the decisions we feel will hurt others or create a difficult transition for us. Simply because we are into quick fixes or prefer the drama-free life so to speak.
But if we are open to the concept of “free will” the following may very well be the result (once we take action):
- Free will may be the very thing (once acknowledged) that allows us to build character and boldness. We might shine brighter allowing others to see HIS good works and influence change in them.
- Free will may be the needed thing to grow in wisdom and understanding enabling decisions filled with integrity that allow our lives more meaning.
- Free will is a gift that allows us to immediately see the fruits of our good decisions making us feel immense joy!
- Free will allows us to be brave (and change) so we are no longer the same ole, same ole.
“Let us not be the same ole, same ole.” Exercise your free will today. See it as a gift that will attract greatness in your life. Stop shrinking and move with boldness, you know the right decision to effect positive changes in your life, usually does!
