5 Ways To Live A Life Of Quality

Read Time: 3 minutes:

Life is a game, play it; Life is a challenge, Meet it; Life is an opportunity, Capture it. ~ Unknown

Do we realise that each morning we awake is a huge feat that we have no control over, and therefore each day should be lived as much as possible to its fullest and as a gift? Hard for some of us I am guessing, but, if we approach each day slowly, thoughtfully, and in full acceptance of the opportunity to become better than the previous day, then we will feel fulfilled at the end of each day.

Know that how we spend our days are solely up to us and no one else.

About four years ago, as I got to that place of acceptance in my life that I could choose most of my outcomes, I began to live differently. I began to incorporate intentionality in how I lived each day. Have I succeeded all the time? Absolutely not. Have I blown my cool? Many times. But, even when I forget to live intentionally, something always brings me back in focus and perspective, then redirects me to my intended path. (My Father above).

While I am on his topic of intentionality, I want to share five things I do to experience a more quality life.

Forgive Others â€“ This was not always easy although I accepted that when we forgive, it is not about the other person but about us. It frees us and gives us the liberty to enjoy life so much more. Most times, we need forgiveness from ourselves. And most times, when we choose to let go / they (the other party) are usually taken care of in the process of forgiving ourselves.

Accept people for who they are â€“ I accept my imperfections as I do in others. I understand that no one is superior to the other, as we are all made in our Father’s image – all of us. We are all flawed through sin – all of us, so I strive to accept rather than discriminate or judge.

Press hard towards the mark â€“ life has hindrances and beautiful surprises, and there has to be something in life that we work towards. If not, then what would be the point of life?

Keep focused â€“ There are distractions around us, and we must have a tunnel vision that facilitates our focus on the important things in our lives.

Close out feelings of inadequacy. Know that in each moment you are enough â€“ Believe in yourself, believe in that God-given intuition placed inside of you. Believe in the fact that you are made in God’s image, and that in itself should empower you to rise above any feelings of inadequacy and understand that you are more than enough.

Learn to do a little more. Stretch yourself â€“ I try to constantly be in a learning mode, whether I’m watching an inspiring video that teaches me or reinforces principles I may already know. I look for opportunities to do the things I do not like because I know they will enhance my life. These would include public speaking, or when I want to call it a day, I try to do one more task.

The bottom line is that we all want to live a life of quality and not quantity. No one should feel like they are meandering through life. And so I encourage us all to look at how we live our lives. Feel free to incorporate some of what I do or develop your rhythm, your music, and do whatever it takes to be the great person you are living life fully and amazingly.
