I woke up on the weekend with this one thought – Start with the end in mind. Certainly not a novel idea, but I was a bit confused as to why this thought would come at this point.
Start with the end in mind – as I quieted down and allowed God’s wisdom to come through, the answer came to me, two-fold. An answer that was spiritual as well as physical.
(Have you ever tried to achieve a goal and just do the day to day requirements hoping that things fall into place? Hoping that eventually you will get to where you need to be. There is a picture in your mind of what what your likely outcome should be, but is that enough? Read on…)
The spiritual explained:- the question is – where are we at this point spiritually. When we start with the end in mind (spiritually) then our focus will be on Jesus and everything that He represents. Our aim as women of God is to get to where He is, that should be our goal. So when we project ourselves in the future knowing that this is our goal then …In all our ways we will acknowledge him by starting (now) with the end in mind.
The physical explained – when we start with the end in mind we create a picture, one that is tangible, one that details our end in a specific way so that we practically can see, feel, taste, touch, smell where we need to get to, in order to live astounding lives. Having a vivid picture that is a projection of the future keeps us focused on the goal. We remain inspired, we are always excited and this is what drives us. It becomes easier for us to work towards our goals, bottomline.
Whatever we are trying to achieve spiritually or physically (naturally) requires us to start with the end in mind. There are too many distractions to be going about life in a haphazard way without direction. Begin to see what is ahead, create that solid method to your madness and begin to live astoundingly!
